As a pediatric occupational therapist and a mother, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that intentional play can have on a child’s confidence, development, and sense of belonging. I also saw a gap in the community: so many party options focused on overstimulation or aesthetics alone, while families like mine—especially families of color, multilingual households, and caregivers of neurodiverse children—were left without services that truly reflected their needs or values.
